This dresser is in bad shape. There is a chipped corner on one of the drawers and the top piece peeled right off. Try not to overlook pieces because they have a little wear and tear, most can be fixed.
I fixed the broken drawer corner with this amazing stuff (Minwax Wood Filler). I applied the wood filler two times to get the corner in the right shape before painting. Then I painted everything this beautiful blue color that I had left over from the night stand I did for my boy’s room. I repainted all of the hardware with a gold spray paint and even switched out and added a couple new knobs. I sealed the entire piece with a clear wax sealant and then started on the top.
Instead of completely building a whole new top, I decided to lay peel and stick tiles that look like wood planks. The adhesive on the back won’t be strong enough to stick to the textured top so I used a super strong adhesive to adhere them. Just to be sure the would stick, covered the top with weights so that there would be pressure on the tiles as the glue dried.
After all of the final touch up were done I added the new hardware an this baby is ready for a new home. This one sold before I was able to dress it up with decor for pictures.
