This boring towel rack just couldn’t hold up in my boys bathroom! So I took it down and made my own from pallet wood.
With multiple kids sharing a bathroom it’s nice to have a place for everyones towel. I got a free pallet from work that had the perfect pieces for this project. I took it apart, cut the wood pieces to size, sanded them down and then did a little white washing.
I spray painted hardware pieces from Lowe’s with a dark hammered metal spray paint and then pre drilled holes in the wood before screwing them in place. Once the hardware was all screwed in I simply attached each piece together and hung it on the wall. The top piece of wood is the only one actually attached to the wall, the rest simply hang from one another.
Once on the wall, I measured, marked and hung the towel hooks. Now every kid has a place for their towel. Hopefully this will help keep them off the floor (I wish).
