Hello, I’m a modern mom always looking for new projects. I’m a full time Graphic Designer with a love for DIY, art, and all things pretty. But most importantly I’m a wife and a mom to three adventurous little boys all under the age of 5. Yes, my life is crazy and hectic but I welcome the challenges each day brings!
What is my design style you ask? Well, I love anything rustic with pops of color all with a little edginess. My style is forever changing and evolving (along with my hair color) and may drive my husband a little crazy but that’s who I am.
Fun facts about Me:
I Love super hero’s and comic books (Batman is my favorite).
When it comes to Movies, I prefer a good gory Horror Movie in the dark but also like Action and Romantic Comedies. Vampires and zombies are the best!
Favorite Holiday? Christmas is the best because it brings the family together and who doesn’t love decorating for Christmas? Every year I some how add another tree to my house. My all time favorite However is Halloween! Creating costumes and dressing up in elaborate costumes is so much fun and I get to sit around making costumes while watching scary movies at night. Craig shares my love for Halloween and actually proposed to me at midnight on Halloween. He is my other half!
If there is anything you want to know, just ask. I’m an open book.
To really know more about me, I must first tell you about my family. Family is everything to me and I would not be the person I am today if it weren’t for those around me. My parents were High School sweet hearts (married at 18) and have been together ever since. They didn’t have much when they started their lives together and have had many struggles but they both knew they wanted more for me and my two little brothers. They have both inspired me and have shown me that any thing can be achieved if you work hard and have a deep passion for something.
My mom has been a hair stylist for as long as I can remember and she is where I got my love of fashion, hair and all things that glitter. My mom is the best at what she does and never turns down a challenge, which is why my hair has been every color imaginable. She is also the most caring and hardest working person I know. She is never one to complain or ask for sympathy. If there is something that needed to be done she would do it or teach herself how. After 20+ years of hard work, she recently was able to finally start her own salon. If you are in the Wichita area, stop by and I promise you won’t regret it.
My dad is and has always been a hard worker, working late nights to support our family through out the years. He would do anything to help someone out and ask for nothing in return. He is a manly man who loves fishing, hunting, lifting weights and anything camo. My dad was also in the navy so yes, I have tattoos and I cuss a little.
Together my parents can do anything. I have seen them take on several home projects that most wouldn’t attempt. They have taught me to be creative and to do take on any project regardless of my size or gender. I may have a love for fashion and hair but there is much more to me than that. It’s nothing out of the ordinary to see me with a chainsaw in the backyard or laying tile in the house, all with the help and support from my husband of course.
Together since the day we met, Craig and I have been together for over 10 years and we have three amazing little boys. Craig is an amazing father and husband who stays at home with our three boys. He has the hardest and most important job there is and I can’t thank him enough for everything he does for our family every day. He may think I’m crazy at times when starting a new project and he doesn’t always see my vision but he supports me every step of the way.
My twins are four years old and my youngest just turned two. My boys have furthered my passion for life and the things around me. I only hope I can inspire them as my parents have me. Just as my parents did with me and my little brother’s, I tell me boys how amazing they are and encourage them to dream big. I want them to grow up with a love for life and new things, knowing that they can do and be anything.
My hope is to inspire someone in some way and encourage others to have fun with daily projects around the house. There is nothing more rewarding than completing a project and crossing something off a list. If you have any questions, ask away. I would love to help!
